I know many of you are installing and servicing these boilers. I am trying to get educated on them. Is anyone willing to answer some questions that I have about them? I am looking for someone who has installed quite a few and knows the ins and outs of their operation. We can converse by e- mail or I can post the questions here. If you are nearby in New England I would be willing to work with you when you install one just to get a feel for the process. I work for FREE!

I'm noy sure I want you carrying a 75lb. boiler into a basement, much less the 500lb. monster out.

E-mail me some questions and I will answer what I can, and the rest I'll make up!

    Munchie

My closest look at a munchkin was at ASHRAE Cicago where I saw a peerless Pinnacle. Same unit. Still can't buy a munchkin in Chi-town to the best of my knowledge. Peerless has the analog model. Pretty bare bones as far as built ins. What's their HX warranty?

Whatever the question or answer, please post them to this board so the rest of us Munchkin newbees can benefit. And don't hesitate to show the whole picture, warts and all.

I have gotten connected up with Jeff Cook and his people and we are on our way to getting some questions answered. I appreciate all the offers for assistance.

It is my attitude always to find out every detail of how something works. Once I have done that then and only then can I feel comfotable teaching others about a control or piece of equipment.

There is so much new equipment that it is a full time job to learn what is needed to conduct adequate training. I rely heavily on factory people for training. Once they have taught me it has been my experience that I can then go and teach others. In that context I hopefully become an asset to them.

I am going to be having a month of training sessions at my center on high efficiency boilers.

Thursday May 1 Weil -McLain Gold and new "ULTRA"

Thursday May 8 Laars "ENDURANCE" with my friend Mark Hughes

Thursday May 15 Burnham "REVOLUTION" with Glenn Stanton another friend to us all.

Thursday May 22 Heat Transfer Products "MUNCHKIN" with my friend Jeff Cook who most of you have come to know and love.

I hope to add some others in the future like Matt Connelly with the Monitor "MZ" and maybe some Viessman folks and some from Buderus and the Slant/FIn people the list goes on.

After that we will tackle some of the WARM AIR Furnaces.
