Weil-McLain AHE

circulator that comes with the boiler has an integral mixing valve so that the boiler does not see cold return water. We just installed an AHE-60 and this mixing valve seems stuck and will not circulate into the primary loop. The boiler turns off on operating limit and the return pipe is still cold.

I don't think it's an air problem since we've power purged the primary 'til we are blue in the face. We've also opened up the relief valve and air vent at the top of the HX.

The factory said to turn up the operating limit to 200° and let it run for an hour. Still doesn't work properly.

Any suggestions?
