vents for stripped radiators

Help! I went to replace the old radiator vent air valves and discovered that the threads were completely stripped on the radiator. The air valve that was in there was basically pushed in and not screwed in. Is there a connection or accessorie that we can get that could repair the problem so that the valves fit correctly. The radiators are about 70 years old and original to the house. Thank you.

Stripped vent
Usually a 1/8" pipe thread tap can be run through the hole in the radiator to clean out the old female threads. Then a new vent can be installed.0 -
stripped holes
Many times the threads are too far gone to save. Re-drill the hole for 1/4" NPT and use a brass bushing for the 1/8" vent size

Big Dog:
Even I behaved myself this weekend.
I vote: redrill, retap, brass bushing.
What's a boy from Cleveland OH, know about metal and machining?
Still got my first bored and ported "WINDSOR" soking up K-1 and storage space.
