Husband's smelly work clothes

just kidding. Here you go.

Have him put the clothes in a basket in the garage or outside of the living area.

Buy some Power House Fabric Refresher Extra Strength, it is produced by Personal Care Products Inc. Bingham Farms, Mi 48025-2463 It works on all kinds of smells. Just spray it on the clothes and leave them outside until time to wash.

We use it when the dog gets tangled up with a skunk. We do not use it on the dog just on her pillow and any furniture she comes in contact with.

We use Natures Miracle skunk odor remover on her which we buy at Petco. I have put that on some clothing to get rid of odors also.

Hope this helps

    Husband's smelly work clothes

Hey you guys can you ask your wives I question for me? My husband comes home from work smelling so bad of oil that it has my whole house smelling like oil.

Is there any special remedy to get the smell out of the clothes when you wash and dry them?

I've tried lemon juice and vinegar. I know this is not a major issue for you guys, but it is a MAJOR issue for me. Please help!!!!

I know you will come through for me.

    Thanks alot!!!

    Air

Wash them as you would, then hang them outside in the open air for a day or two.

Discuss the opiton of converting to gas heat.

    Sorry Deb

No answer for you , just fond memories.

My Dad drove and oil truck and the back hall allways smelled like that. He hung his clothes there.

Thats not an oil smell, thats my childhood. My Dad has been gone for 18 years and that smell still reminds me of him.

    Oil Smell

I've used "Simple Green" to remove the odor of diesel fuel, Lestoil will remove the greasy stains from lubeoil & heavy fuel oil. Wash seperately from anything else, in HOT water. Consider calling you local "Cintas" uniform rental supplier. Just leave the oily mess outside in a container, they pick it up, and deliver fresh uniforms.

    Oil smell

    Hi Deb,
My wife uses Tide and Oxy clean and it works well. Plus if it is really bad, hanging it outside also helps.

    Clothes

Deb, my wife pre-soaks mine. She fills the machine and uses Lestoil or Murphy's oil soap along with the regular detergent, whatever is on sale usually, then lets it presoak overnight [sometimes] or for a couple hours. Then in the dryer a couple of fabric softener sheets.Of course my clothes get washed all alone. I "saved" our old washing machine and have it hooked up in the basement. I use it for oily rags and really , really, dirty clothes. The simple green works good too like some one else posted

    Deb & Starch:

The green evaporator cleaner (food safe, probably is simple green, but cheaper) always worked here. The girls say they can smell me across the county line and know if I had been BP'ed or Shell'ed.
