Heated Sidewalks

Go to Hot tech topics above then the Radiant Panel Assn. web site and read through the data there. Then contact Watts Radiant, and WIRSBO for more info., they have classes. Then Tekmar controls and Heat-Timer for system control. I don't think Patterned concete should be a problem and pavers on sand will work fine if done properly.
There are pitfalls and the only way to overcome them is by sorting through the data.

Heated Sidewalks
I have a client that wants to do snowmelt with heated sidewalks. I know that it is relatively common. Are there any pitfalls that I should watchout for?
Has anybody tried to do it with patterned concrete what about brick pavers?0 -
snowmelt
Pavers and stamped concrete both work great. Pitch the walk slightly to drain off water. Do not pitch toward an unconditioned solid surface. That will create an ice hazard.0
