Signs - DF

I had these signs made up to alert other trades that there is piping in the slab. Hopefully, an ounce of prevention will equal a pound of cure (and one big headache!). -DF

Language
How right you are, Mark. I had a job where I carefully explained to the concrete sub that I had snowmelt tubing embedded in a concrete stairwell. He smiled and nodded his head in agreement. I later found out the hard way that he did not speak English. DOH!!!

What about
your company name, address and phone number; let people know who you are.
Well done, Dan.

The universal Language
How about a few well placed "$$$$$$ per repair" on the sign, math is the only universal language I know of.

I would add
the threat of physical violence some where in there too.
A picture of a good Singapore caning should do the trick.

Right on
this past summer working with Guetamaleans on a construction site I learned sign language very quickly and did a lot of direct supervision. They nod their heads and smile but do not understand a word you are saying.
In all fairness to them they are some of the best workers I have ever been with and never complain. Once we established communication things worked great.
Nice sign Dan, maybe you should market them.0 -
Another version
I use mine as an ad sign for radiant and the RPA Mine are aluminum and I screw them right on to the floor where I have the tube installed.
Much cheaper to buy more signs then travel and repair a leaker.

No problem
My father moved to Brazil. The first thing he learned there is what SOUNDS like the English phrase, "No problem" is in reality the Portuguese phrase for "Could you please repeat that, I didn't understand a word of what you said!"

What wonderful irony it would be if while screwing the sign down you had run a screw through a tube....0
