flanges
Webstone, a company out of Worcester Mass has been selling these flanges for a while, but they are completely brass. costs less than putting two nips, two flanges, and two ips ball valve too. helps with keeping dielectrolosis (sp?) under control too.0 -
I saw those at ASHRAE in Chicago,
and I thought they were really nice. A great ball valve with handle, and a rotatable flange to accomadate any position and type of pump. Can't wait till our local B&G supplier gets them in.
By the way, keep an eye out for a B&G pump to compete with the Grundfos Super Brute. A little birdie at ASHRAE told me they are working on one.0 -
Webstone
I have used the Webstone flanges and they are great. Ill never go back to regular flanges!

Raven Sales now has one, as a set, with a ball/purge drain

Jed, do you have a link...
for those combo flange and purge valves? I went to www.ravensales.com and they didn't show them.
Thanks, Glenn0 -
Not here at home.
Will get it, and post tonight.

Ditto
I've been using the Webstone for about 6 months now since the local RE michels started carrying them. Adding a purge port to them would make my life complete. WW

That's the correct site.
Glen, I spoke with them today, and they are in the process of updating their product line on the site. She
said it would be about 2 weeks before it appears.
Basically, it has a tapped port, with a close nipple, and
HxFNPT coupling, with a ball shut off. It has a screwdriver slot to operate the ball. They may be changing
that to a small t-handle. All bronze construction. Also, the location of the hose bibb branch is too close to the flange, so the bolt can only be inserted on the face side of the flange. That may change too. Then, we(Bangor, Me) will bring them in for stock.
Contact them Glen. They may have a distributor in your area, if you are near New England.
Hope this is informative.
Regards,
Jed

Thanks, Jed.
For now, I'll just keep an eye on the site, and once I've seen them I'll throw them an e-mail for a Chicago distributor, if I'm interested.0
