prob after taking off a rad

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could offer a suggestion for a problem I have encountered after taking a radiator off to decorate.
I have encountered what appears to be a massive airlock in the system , Ive tried opening the bleed valves on the rads , undone the bleed valve on the water cylinder all to no avail , someone has suggested it might be an airlock in the cold water feed pipe , but I have had a look at it and there is no apparent means of bleeding air from this pipe.
Help please!!
Alex.

    Could it be

a single loop system? Which means the water flows from one to the next, and by removing that one water can't flow. John@Reliable

    Hi john,
Yes it is a single loop system but I have put the rad back on now , if that was the case though would the rads before the one I took off get hot? as Im getting nothing.
Thanks in advance for your help
