We're replacing the boiler in an 1910 mansion, and the owner want's the new installation to look as original as possible.
Anyone know a source for large face, old style brass Altitude and/or Pressure gauges, and separate temperature gauges. Fiqure someone out there must make them.

I used to service a boiler of about that vintage in Shaker Heights, OH, that used guage etched glass. Measued every thing in real-time wc. Pig tails of brass and little stop cocks, that were opened to take a reading. I could have parked my 3/4 ton Ford van in the boiler room.

old gauges
Hey Tim, sounds like a good job. The last good gauge I had from the 20s or 30s was a Bowles N.W. gauge. If i come across any I will let you know.0 -
\"Old Style\" gauges
Hi Tim,
Give George Conner, the manager at Paramount Supply in Seattle a call.(10832 E. Marginal Way S.
Seattle, WA 98168 Phone: (206) 762-1717)He is an antique buff also. Tell him Nick with the County sent you.
George would know if anyone makes new "Old Style" gauges or if there are any enthusiastic gauge repair shops around town that could mix new internals with a custom dial face and needle. A fluted brass bezel would be a must have!

Could be a spendy project, but you did say Mansion!
Post some photos if you can...
