no heat

Looked at a no heat situation yesterday. Had a gas fired burnham boiler, standing pilot with vent damper, three Honneywell zone valves. Was only able to get it to run by jumping the two front terminals (end switch?) on any of the three the zone valves.
Could the problem lie with the thermostats? Thanks

Did you have 24 volts at your transformer?0 -
zone valve problem
? did you have all thermostats calling for heat or just one. If only one then it may be a bad zone valve. The other post also is very likely.0 -
You have a bad end switch or the gears aren't activating the switch. It's best to replace the whole operator or best yet, go to zone pumping.0 -

no heat
I Was getting power at the transformer and when the main power switch was turned on all the zone valves would open.It could be the switch in the zone head is not being activatived by the gears.
Do they burn out? And wasn't noticed untill the last zone switch was gone and the whole house was being controlled by that last remaining zone. The ho did mention some complaints to this effect. Thanks!!0 -
Did you let the factory installed smoke out of the transformer?
