Any one know the max stack height for a Weil McLain 588 using 10", burning #2 oil with a Carlin burner.

WM 588
Can I suggest that your go to Weil McLain for the answer to that. Not shown in their manual or the install info I have in my library. Your local Weil dealer should be able to get the local rep to find out for you. I've never had a problem getting info when I need it. They're super!!

Not aware
of a max stack height. There is a minimum in the manual.
If too much draft is the problem, you will probably have to convert it to balanced draft w/ a properly sized barometric. Sometimes very tall stacks will require a barometric larger than the breech. Some guys even install 2. We have 88s on 80' stacks w/ barometrics to balance the draft.
The boiler can then be set for the recommended pressure at the damper. Mike should be able to size the barometric for you.
