Me too I perfer Honeywell , but for the buck I would go with the Lux 600. Been using them on the job for a few years now. No problem and will cycle nicely on hot water. The Lux also makes a Line Voltage Digital setback now. Cheaper then the Johnson as well...

Big Ed, does that Lux 600

require batteries? I like the Honeywell T8600 "power-stealing" unit that doesn't need batteries. Dead batteries can cause a no-heat call.

    We've

Been using the Robert Shaw/Maplechase 9600 (I believe) lately with good results. Straight forward and fairly simple to use and program. Nice looking too ! Chris

Yes,I believe they do require batteries. And yes you are right , the dead batteries will create a "no heat call" ........but a EASY no heat call ! ;)
