This is my first job radiant heat with warmboards. In some areas the hard wood was installed on top of the warmboards, and in some areas they laid a layer of 3/4 plywwood on top of the warmboards, and then the hard wood. Before they installed the hard wood, we outlined were the pex tubing are, so they will, hopefully not drive a nail in it.

Floor Project
Moses-
Looks great! Don't you mean ThermalBoard?
Why was the extra layer of Plywood added to the floor in parts of the house only?
If it was to raise the floor height to minimize transitions, I would have added the plywood under the ThermalBoard so the wood floor guy could see the tubes.
Other wise looks great.Dave H0 -
ThermalBoard
Yes it is Thermalboard. The plywood was added later, because they wanted that the mud floor, which is about 11/2" to 2", should be the same as the hard wood.0 -
Redesign
Was there a redesign of the water temp requirements because of the extra layer of plywood?
The water temp will have to be raised in order to heat through the extra layer.Dave H0 -
Radiant Heat
Every room has a "slab sensor" or a "floor sensor" Tekmar #071, and a Tekmar #511 wall thermostat, and outdoor sensor. Each room, floor temperture, adjust it's temp. according to it needs, through a injection mixing system.0
