Saw your question and thought I'd wade in, in that I often need to do just what
your seeking - edit after posting

You can edit your own posting by clicking on "Edit" icon above your post. This
icon will only appear on your post, so only you can edit it. The function "pulls" your
post off, allows you to alter it, and re-posts the revisions - pretty neat. If you spell
as poorly as I do, a spell check would be nice too. I've taken to composing my
thoughts in a word processor, spell checking, then cut and paste the checked
version to the site.
