Bidding my ars off

I don't think I ever have been as inundated with blueprints and job bids as I am now.
Everything from 10,000 sf homes to 12,000 sf churches to 15,000 commercial build-outs. Lots of radiant, hot water, rooftop units, high velocity AC, and some scorched air(I can't win everybody over).
So far selling a high percentage and getting my number(fingers crossed and knocking on wood at the same time).
And after 23 yrs I'm still learning something new every single day. That's actually one of my biggest goals in life-to learn something new everyday.
I know I won't get all the jobs and if I did we all know something would be terribly wrong with my bidding process, but after being down a year it sure is nice to see everyone coming back to me.
And I'd like to thank Danno for this wonderful place called the Wall-a never-ending source of information. I kind of jumped off of it while I was laid up but its nice to be back.
I do miss some of guys like Duncan, Cheese, FfP, Mad Jack, Bob M., and some of the others whom were regulars back in the day. Maybe some day they'll come back too. Hope so.
Thanks again Dan,
Steve,
Radiant Comfort Systems and Tinman Enterprises(both mine:))

Can I help?
Would love to assist you if I can. I have a mound of blueprints on my desk, but their is always room for one or two more. Give me a call if you need anything. You have my #.

An Opinion
Steve,
Be very careful that you don't get a bunch of cheap work. When things get like this there is always a danger of over-loading with business at the same margins.
Be thinking of the possible need to spend more money for tools, equipment and manpower as revenues increase. Don't know your situation, but have seen many contractors get most every job they bid when work is plentiful. Of course, they have a lot of very cheap work and they are just trading dollars.
Good luck with this opportunity.

I didn't
know you morphed. Yeah, I either get top dollar or I let it go. Been on my own since '87 and learned that the hard way the first three years.
My prices are right up there with the big boys and I usually get the job even if I'm more expensive because I can offer more.
Nice talking to you Madd Dog Jack.
