I have a potential customer who has some concern about what his hardwood flooring will do when exposed to heat.
the house was built in 1975 so Im thinking the wood is dry.
when checked with a moisture meter what kinda number am I looking for.He has some heavy duty looking wide board flooring abt 5 inches wide. and some parquet in a dining room. The house seems like an ideal canidate. lots of bare wood with area rugs.any thoughts base on real world experience? thanks

whats under the...
hardwood? Tarpaper? could be a problem.... The moisture number to shoot for is 5-6%. Dan's book Hydronic Radiant heating has some great tips on wood installs. pp120-122 And of course keep the floor temp below 80F. kpc0
