hydrotherm boilers

has anyone had any problems with Hydrotherm HC boilers having too much heat in the firebox. I believe this may be a design flaw to try to get more effeciency. The roll out switch trips. The distributors answer to this was to replace the switch with one with a higher limit. The jproblem is that it gets so hot that it has actually discolored the jacket from too much heat. The boilers i am working with are 4 years old or less.

backdrafting
is the most common cause for what you are describing
I've seen a few case's in hog barn's where all the exhaust fans create a negative draft situation leading to what you describe.
