Hah... I let my computer install some downloaded upgrades this morning and it popped up a window offering WeatherBug. At the time I just grumbled about nuisance popups and closed it.
If I had seen this thread 90 minutes ago, I would have taken it.
Thanks for the info.....

This is the best weather site I've found

    It's Weatherbug.com: http://www.weatherbug.com/aws/index.asp

It puts the current local temperature on your toolbar and when you click on that you get a world of weather instantly. Check it out.

We used Weatherbug for a few years...

however, it caused problems with the internet when we downloaded a newer version. Too bad, it was a great program. Weather.com will just have to do.

I think it was version 4,...

slowed loading to a crawl and we have DSL. Re-loaded it, emailed the Weatherbug people, etc. Nothing helped. Got rid of it and the problem went away. BTW, the earlier version worked fine, but we couldn't get it back.

I downloaded it yesterday (version 5.1)

and it's running without a flaw. I use cable and the speed seems to be the same. Maybe they worked out the bugs.

It just flashed me with a high-wind advisory for this afternoon. Nice.

  • Right on Dan

I have used it for quite a while now. They also offer a lot of good stuff off that sight. You can even customize your own Weatherbug system to feed you types of advertsing you alone would be interested in. Keeps all the junk from coming thru.

    I have

Weatherbug and use www.accuweather.com also. Both work very well. Accuweather gets very into the details in a big way. There's folks there that feel the same about weather as we do hydronics.

    Thanks

Dan, Thanks for reminding me. I had that on my old system and never got around to loading it on this one. That is until today.

    "Not a valid win32 application"

That's what I get when I double click the file and my computer is brand new; running Windows XP Pro. I'll do some digging later on.

Thanks for letting us know about it, Dan.
