I have a service problem.I put in a new boiler, pumping away, two zone, 007 circs., its purged, presure is normal. One zone is 1" and the problem zone is 1/2". They both have 1" flow valves. The zone is for the second floor in a cape cod, average size zone. The call comes in for a high pitch noise from the circ. Changed the circ 2 times. Second one today. The noise is gone now but i think the call will come back in soon. I am thinking it is a volocity noise, maybe because of 1/2 copper? Anybody come across a problem like this? Also, this zone was on the old boiler, NOT pumping away with a 007 and no noise.
Thanks Guys, from Jack on Long Island.

Turn down the circ.
Throw in a rheostat and dial down the circ until it lands quielty inside the pump curve. Alternately plot the system curve and install the proper circ. Dan

Pressure Differential Valves
Try a pressure differintial valve. Piped in like a bypass. I first saw one in Dan's books. Danfoss makes them.0
