Hey Timmie! Try to find Alaska in the picture. Not very many lights on here, although with all of my neighbors with stinking yard lights that light up my yard you would think it would look a little bit brighter. Think I'll go to the photo site and find my place.

Darn kids!
I told him to turn off those lights. Must have been a solar eclipse - no natural light anywhere!

That's an awesome picture.
I'm ashamed to say it looks like no one within 500 miles of Chicago knows what a light switch is, including my kids.

That is amazing Mark
Here's mine, one house to the left of the pin (the address finder is a little off, but very close). This picture makes me realize I really have a lot of neighbors.

If you look at the middle of Africa
you will know why I would like to live there. There are no lights on. A very simple people living very simple lives. When you step out into the night in Zimbabwe and look up at the stars you feel like you could reach out and touch them. No polution air crystal clear all the constellations vsible. The southern cross is awesome. BACK TO AFRICA!!!0 -

Stars at night
I'm not well travelled and I'm sure Alaska and Zimbabwe has this beat, but I,ve seen more stars on a clear night in north central Illinois (a stones throw from Boilerpro in Amboy) than I have from the high plains in Wyoming near Jackson or northern Wisc. near the U.P.
Also saw the northern lights from rural Chicagoland back in the 70's
