Loop temperatures?

I am doing a retro heating job where 50% of the job will be staple-up infloor with no transfer plates and just insulation - below. The remaining 50% will be baseboard. There will be no infloor under wood, concrete, or linolium - only under carpet. Some of the carpet is thick burber -type, while other is thinner. Can I run a single temp system? This home is in a -10 to -15 design area and is using the boiler to heat domestic too. What is the highest loop temp I can run under the carpet - and what are the drawbacks of doing this?
thank you
jim

    You may want

to do a heat loss and load for those carpet/ staple up areas. Once you know the load the program will show you the temperatures required.

Personally I like to limit the under floor temperatures to 150 or less. Thick carpet and pad can be a real challange for radiant floors.

As far as temperature mixes, if the required temperatures are within 15 degrees or less they could be combined. Others may use 10 degree difference.

I'd be leary of using your 180 baseboard temperatures in staple up against plywood, if this is what you were thinking. I think this is much to hot for a healthy plywood life. In my opinion :)

You may be better off with bb throughout and possibly some radiant floor warming in the bath and kitchen areas.

Again the heat loss and design will help steer you.
