We have a pole barn that we keep equipment in. It has a gravel floor, and no insulation on three walls. The vehicles kept in there are falling apart. We are trying to convince the boss man to pour a concrete floor to help aleviate the condensation. He is looking for another solution, possibly air movement, AKA fans. We do not heat this area at all and I am sure he wont want to. What is the best thing to do first and why? My thought is that moisture is being pulled out of the floor. The condensation freezes on the tine walls and cieling, the drips down when it warms up. Ant help would be appreciated.

    2nd your opinion

Dirt crawlspaces in homes are notorious for adding LOTS of moisture. Add insulation in the floor and high summer humidity and you have a prescription for certain rot.

Air movement (fans) might help, but the cost of electricity/maintenance and getting enough air movement could mount up quickly.

A concrete floor and some constant natural ventilation {should} help considerably. If there's a lot of movement in/out with implements regularly arriving wet you may need some forced ventilation as well.
