Fields wmo-1 thermal safety control

with the Fields wmo-1 thermal safety switch? Any info on recalls etc? We've installed 2 this week that have been defective. Checked them both out, both are permanently "open" and the red reset botton is NOT popped out. Result: no power from T3 to the burner. Any input would be great.
