    I have used...........

Grundfos and Taco's.Both with great success. They are bronze body and have a 5mm allen set to open and close. They make for a very clean install.

my supplyhouse carries them.(GRANITE Group in No. New England)They have a true ball valve handle... no messing around w/ a screwdriver.. Punch them into a search engine ...see what you get. kpc

    I like the webstone' s

The Taco shut-off flanges look nice , but the valves rarely get used and seem to fail at an alarming rate (around here anyway) when touched .

IMHO ...Nothing beats a nice freedom flange with nipples and a ball valve top and bottom . Cuts a pump switchout time to a minimum with little mess . No muss....no fuss , positive shutoff rules ! Chris

    or you could

buy these Jomar valves, and screw on the "color" flange of your choice. Available in sweat or FIP, 100% full port, and most importantly they have stem packing nuts!

They also make a nice transtion from cast boilers to copper, fitting!

On the lower left is a Watts valve with a purge port. Take a few thousands off the o.d. of a 3/4" Taco freedom flange and it will sweat inside a 1" ball valve. Nice for non ferrous systems also.

Nothing more frustrating than an inexpensive iso flange that leaks around the shut off screw, after a pump changeout :)
