I was wondering when deciding on the use of pex for supplying hot water convectors, if supported properly is there a problem with using Wirsbo hePEX. I have read here that the use of Multicore is better for this because less expansion of the tubing.I have alot of little coils of hePEX I would love to get rid of on this job. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ant

By all means
use Pex-Al-Pex.
No sense in taking chances!

If it's.........
exposed, I use MultiCor. If it's hidden or I need to use ProPEX fittings, I use PEX. Another factor is temperature. I don't run PEX, for the most part, over 140°. Over 140°, MultiCor is my first choice.

HePex
We use Wirsbo HePex for heat loops on all our baseboard systems.I think pex-al-pex is a better choice but the fitting connection for it makes it more costly and difficult to connect. If Wirsbo had a crimp ring or something other than the compression type fitting I would switch to it.
