when you bring the kids to the library ( you know you should) look for this book. Its called the ESCAPE FACTORY by a guy named Shoemaker. Its the story of WW2 outfit had dreamed up and made gadgets to help POWs escape.Rawlings baseballs with radio parts inside,Gillette razors that were magnatized to be used as compass parts, etc.and most was done by the heads of the companies. And it was all secret not like today.I have a 92 year old friend who i've know for all of my short 38 years. Small frame, big smile, soft spoken church going man, turns out he was in this outfit. When you ask him about it he just smiles and changes the subject.Things they did for the war and OUR freedom was and is amazing.Hopefully guys like them are working in times like these so my kids will be safe and thankfull too. Thanks Dave

Maybe
Ian Fleming was involved with this too- he was about that age- and that inspired him to write the James Bond books. I liked the books as well as the movies- the ones starring Sean Connery were closest to the books.
