Cozy direct vented heater

I haved a cozy heater that is making a high pitched whistle when it's firing. LP unit,4-5 years old,customer can hear it on the opposite end of the house. Any ideas? Thanks Mike

The noise is called resonating. Cut the primary air and it should go away. Empire had this problem a few years ago and they sent a service notice out on how to fix it. I would play with the air so you cut it down just enough to stop the noise.0 -
Another possibility
If a flexible connector is used it could be the source. Under certain flows they can whistle Dixie. The smaller diameter ones are the worse offenders I think. We've found this to be the problem on several gas log installs.
