Just landed my largest project yet.... 3 Burnham 8B's, one Dunkirk D247 steamer, steam convectors to hot water conversion, all new tekmar controls...(254, 361, 367, and 368), pumps, etc. for a 45,000 sq ft church facility, the largest in the area. Beat out (again) the same two large mechanical contractors as I had on my last largest job. On this previous job (another church), me and my partnering forced air company, were the highest bid by 15% and 30% higher than the lowest bid. Price isn't always the driving factor, even with our messed up economy and a potential for 3 wars. Not bad for a one man shop, eh. Got to pat myself on the back a little bit and certainly say thanks to all those here and my local reps and suppliers that are helping make these gooooood things possible!

Thanks, Steamhead
Was just looking at a poor WM LGB-7 steamer, no Hartford loop and a nice 4 inch welded header to both tappings....guess what? It's leaking! Gee I wonder why? Also appears to be about twice as big as it needs to be. Going back to fix a cut out problem and I'm going to remove the High fire wire on the gas valve....50% fire should be about right. Hopefully we'll save another system.
