System 2000 question`
GW
Member Posts: 4,832
I looked at this System 2000 oil fired chimney vented boiler, what is with the "system manager", the zone was calling, then the red light on the left side would go out. When I disconnected the zone tstat wire, the stupid red light would come ON. Is this control wacked, or or all System 2000s like this?
Thanks for any help
Gary

Look in the book....
that should be with the boiler. There is a troubleshooting guide. If no book call the local EK dealer and get one, or EK in NJ.
The manager could be bad.......
OR.....maybe nothings wrong. I'm a little confused about what you said. Red lights are on the right, not left. Left has yellow lights, and is the thermostat call for heat, and right side is red lights for when the zones actually open. Right side will stay on for a while longer than the call for heat (yellow), to purge heat out of the cold start boiler. Did you look at this upside-down? :-)
or maybe..........someone who didn't read the book wired it like a regular boiler, and its not the boier fault. Very simple to wire, thermostats to the left, zone valves to the right.

oops
you're right, I got it backwards.
I was wondering if there was a post purge, that sounds good. I didn't see a book there.
Thanks,
Gary
