Try going to this website:
<a href="http://hbctechlit.honeywell.com/" target="_blank">Honeywell Technical Literature</a>
Enter PC8900 and a list of available service and install literature will pop up that should have the info you need.
I beleive that you have to ohm out the outdoor sensor using a chart that states what resistance there should be based on the outdoor temp. You will more than likely find either a weak connection in the sensor wiring or an inaccurate sensor.

Outside Temp Question
I've been all over the Honeywell site and can not find the answer to my question.
When the outside temp is read and displayed on the Honeywell PC8900, how accurate is the reading? Is it +- 1 degree, or better?
If the complaint is that it is off, how can it be checked?
I assume that it is not adjustable, correct?0 -
Good question
