I haven't read "forever" Dan, I don't read much fiction unless it's an historical novel. But have you read the 4 book series by veterinarian James Herriot? He worked in England during and after WWII. He had the most interesting (sometimes hilarious or sad) people/animal stories to tell, and could he paint a picture! It's one of those books from which you'll end up reading whole chapters out loud to anyone who'll tolerate it. Kevin

I've read them aloud to my children during our evening family times. Lots of fun.
It is always great to read a story to the kids before they see it come out at the movies -- and then to hear them say "that's not the way it goes, man, the book was better!"0
