At "poor man's plaster" i.e. skimcoat drywall. Usually hire out the rock work but experience taught me that "single room, drywall, and schedule" are as mutually exclusive as "good, quick and cheap." That's "Blue Board." ONLY thing I use in a bath, but ALWAYS use cement board behind tile.
Easier than I imagined--even did the 2nd coat at night with poor light and 3 beers. NO sanding yet. Ready for final strike-down, final coat and LIGHT WET sanding.
Box at right is for "Warm Tiles" electric radiant.
Lost my really good rock man to macular degeneration. Knew he was good when instead of groaning when seeing insulation stapled to the face of the studs (not the sides) he said, "Good to see you insulate the right way."
Practicing for the ceiling lest I come out looking like I had a close encounter with a huge flock of starlings!
