If I seperate a 6' length of cast iron baseboard radiation at the joint in the middle,
will I find pipe threads for male adapters, or gaskets, or tapered sleeves
connecting and sealing the two halves?
Thanks

If it's Slant/Fin
Metal push nipples are between the sections.

NO
You wil find what are called push nipples and are fairly easy to seperate and remove. You will need a special tool to reinstall new push nipples if that is what you are doing.
It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for joining two pieces of cast iron back together.
Hope this helps.
