Looking for a better way to get heavy cast iron boilers down stairs and in to a mech room. Has anybody used one of those motorized stair climbing dollies? Is there anything out there you are having good results with?

I love my Lectro Truck!
Worth it's weight, which is substantial, in saved back surgeries. Get the "Big Wheels" for pulling things across uneven terrain. I believe I paid $2,500 10 years ago, but like I said, heavy boilers..........priceless.

I can tell you which one NOT to get...
That'd be the one with the revolving belt on both sides with the knuckles that bear weight on the bull nosed edge of the tread. Almost killed my partner with one of those when the bull nose portion of the tread snapped off during a concrete lined tank removal. If he'd have been standing where he usually does, I'd be alone in this business...
One of our suppliers uses a trombone type of power dollie that bears the weight in the middle of the stair tread. Works much better, and safer.
