air vent spitting water

working in 6 story bldg with 46 apts. Complains from tenants that water is spitting water out of air vents all the way to 6th fl. Has 2 easco steam boilers 2.9 input and riser feeding main header 10 ft tall with 4 elbow swing dropping 2 ft into main. 1 boiler is being used more than the other. This boiler's water is very dirty, quick glance do not see much surging in glass . Have to spend more time examining system if my administrator leaves me alone and stops riding me like a farm animal. Like to get some suggestions as to what to look for, is it possible that dirt and oil could cause wet steam to reach the 6th fl with this piping configuration? Tomorrow , if I have the time, try to isolate the boiler with the dirtier water off line, and see if this condition improves. Wish me luck, the natives are restless, suggestions would be deeply appreciated . Chow for Now

Here, I'll help you out by giving your steam question a "bump" before it disappears off into cyber space. I find your farm animal reference disturbing and inappropriate. Maybe this kind of comment is funny after hours at the bar surrounded by your buddies. But in a forum like this inappropriate for sure. Same goes for the suject on your other post. If I were you I'd be pretty embarassed. I'd take advantage of the edit button.

Do you do this for a living? Don't go off! My 17 going on 28 daughter is on her way to Tulane as an archetectial major with the dean paying the way. She can use any tool I own, but does not like to get dirty working with Dad.
