Does anyone ever encounter problems with installing flue pipe for gas-fired, condensing boilers or water heaters? If so, what?

Follow the instructions
for the equipment and make sure you have all the special adapters that are often needed to make the proper connections.
It is often a lot of prelimnary study to determine how you are going to vent and then getting the proper kit to do what you planned.
It is a good idea to contact all the various companies that make these venting set ups for literature on their products. They will gie you procedures for connecting and sealing. High temp tape, RTV sealant are some of the different ways. Some new things like Fas-n-seal.
All these special venting procedures are impossible to condense into one simple instruction. Each one is different.0
