My Helper
is getting tht radiant fever. Out of the blue the other day he says they ought to invent a radiant windsheid wiper blade. I was stunned. What a great idea I told him. With the big snow storm of last weekend I don't know how many times I had to jump out of the van at a red light to bang the ice off the wipers. I thought of a radiant idea a couple years ago. A radiantly heated office chair floor pad. You know the type of pad you put on the floor so an office chair can roll around even if you have carpet. That way the secretary with an iron defficiency can control her own comfort in her own space with out driving everyone nuts by turning the tstat way high. Any other radiant ideas out there from you radiant personalities??

Very neat idea
I've been getting by with a radiant wife bedwarmer. I'll bet yours doesn't tell you how to drive tho. Reminds me of when I put a staple up floor in my foyer I spiraled and high density pattern in a corner where the kids left their snow covered boots. It dries them off in pretty good time.

Bob, I think they are called
waterbeds, heated with electric resistance though.

mine is heated
from my boiler, and it is much more comfortable than a waterbed. it isn't clammy like when sleeping on plastic with water heated to 90 degrees. my conventional mattress feels most comfortable at 75 degrees. bobTo learn more about this professional, click here to visit their ad in Find A Contractor.0 -
Saw the pic
after the post. Don't show The Stephanie, she will want the same. Glad we all have our own computers.
Great job,

You run the return hose
from your heater back to the engine under your wipers. Got tired of the wad of snow under the wipers, car gets heat first then the return is constant so your always heating the area below the wipers. Mine is tucked under and zip tied to the grillwork for fresh air so you really have to look to see it. Doing it that way for 6 or 7 years. Works great!

Not always a good thing.....
I've recently installed radiant under the tile floor
in the entryway, and now I can't yell at the kids for
leaving their wet mittens and hats on the floor....as
that's the best and quickest way to dry them off!
Now I try to get them to put them under the bench,
at least....0 -
My friends
Range Rover has electric coils in the glass to defog the widshield. It works well with snow(so does the truck) I wouldn't want to know how much a new windshield costs though.0 -
Electric windshields
My wife's Ford Mondeo has an electrically heated windshield. The heating wires are so fine that you don't notice them when driving. It defrosts the windshield in no time, with the engine still cold. This is probably the most common Ford car in Europe, nothing special. Doesn't Ford do these in the US?0
