I=B=R suggests that you add 20% to load to cover the tankless coil. But what you should consider is what the "Peak" domestic hot water load will be. Then size the boiler and coil to match peak load(DHW). My biggest problem with the whole situation is why in this day and age anyone would even consider using a tankless coil! In Europe, where fuel has been much more expensive than it has been here, it hac been illegal to manufacture a boiler with a tankless coil since the end of WWII !!
Have your customer go "indirect" water heater, with a cold start boiler. With fuel prices going up on a daily basis, their payback on the additional equipment and labor to install it will be less than 2 years! From there on it is money in the bank.0
