    Cheap!

Owner finally wants a replacement - old rooming house crca 1920. Originally coal, then oil, conversion burner to nat gas about 1970 something. Asbestos has been abated - but I think the old beast will stay where it's at - and repipe around it.

    That's a Gurney!

I have one of those in pieces in my basement. Two of carefully disassemble the beast and rolled and shoved it to the side. It's still there 7 years later. My plan was to reassemble it in the yard as a planter.

If I still had the shaker grates and the lower ashpit doors I might have kept it for backup. By the way, are those items in that house?

We haved removed alot of asbestos from boilers just like the one you have pictured!!! however be careful when you attempt to remove the boiler---The fire chamber and front wall is still loaded with asbestos--have it removed professionally---BE CAREFUL
