The Alberta Hydronics Advisory Council is pleased to announce that plans are well underway for the 2003 Foothills Conference and Trade Show. The successful hydronics conference and industry trade show will be holding its 4th event with “Hydronics: The Next Generation.” Hydronics is defined as the science of hot water heating.

This year the event is being held at the Mayfield Inn Conference and Trade Centre in Edmonton on April 3rd and 4th with a jam-packed educational schedule and over 65 booths under one roof providing easy access for industry members to learn, launch into new markets, interact, and generally build on the professionalism of the hydronics industry. Trade show booths are now 90% sold.

The trade show component provides exhibitors with a showcase to display current trends, new products, and leading edge ideas. Plans for the April trade show also include the NAIT Apprenticeship Stage where four NAIT apprentices from the Pipe Trades program will demonstrate their skills and compete for top honours. Trade show hours have been expanded and we are introducing incentives to get and keep people on the tradeshow floor.

Education remains the cornerstone of the conference. We have two complete days of plenary, keynote, and concurrent sessions for delegates from every corner of the hydronics industry and for every experience level. Back by popular demand is John Siegenthaler delivering the latest information in the design and installation of hydronic heating systems. The educational program also includes sessions with Roy Ahlgren of ITT Industries Inc. and the Little Red Schoolhouse. Other industry experts will be presenting an impressive list of hot topics.

The Conference Chair is Garry W. Alexander of Canadian Boiler Industries Inc. Garry promises that the 2003 Foothills Conference and Trade Show, “Hydronics: The Next Generation”, will be a great celebration of the hydronics industry that includes outstanding education, terrific business opportunities, and a showcase of the best the industry has to offer. Don’t miss the best hydronics show in western Canada.
