Peerless Hot Water Boiler Model 62

in THE MAIN WALL
Recently installed Peerless model 62 atmospheric hot water boiler on top of 4" block and 3" of mud and tile. Found extreme temperatures under boiler atmospheric gas burners and boiler has no heat shield. Scorched floor joist below, mud and tile. Proving radiant heat waves go in all directions. Anyone with knowledge and experience with this situation, PLEASE COMMENT!

    Are you venting ok? What kind of draft are you pulling? Do you have any pictures?
