Carbon Monoxide

Options
ladies and gentlemen it has been a very hectic day. I got a call yesterday about a problem with a Carrier furnace making CO they did everything could not get it to stop.

I went and took a look today and thanks to my friends at Carrier I had some new books on this furnace. Here is the deal WHEN USING PROPANE ON SOME OF THESE FURNACES AND BOILERS THAT HAVE A NOX INSERT (NITROUS OXIDE) IT HAS TO BE REMOVED. IT CAN ONLY BE USED WITH NATURAL GAS. IT IS AN INSERT INTO THE BURNER ITSELF. ON LP REMOVE IT.

I AM NOT SURE ABOUT ALL BOILERS AND FURNACES BUT IT IS RIGHT IN THE CARRIER INSTRUCTIONS. REMOVED IT RESET EVERYTHING CO LEVEL BELOW 100 PPM (55 PPM).
