Local rag ran an article on furnace maintenance & carbon monoxide last night. They interviewed 2 of the better known residential HVAC contractors in town . They both had some very good points , but then one said , If your carbon monoxide detector goes off , leave the building immediately and wait until a professional OR a technician shows up !!!!!!How can we sell ourselves as professionals when we do not even see ourselves as professionals !Ohie Vey ! It is much easier to raise the bar, if you do not hang weights on it !

I don't find the term Technician offensive.
It could have been worse right ?

I was taught...
...that there are only three TRUE professions: medicine; law and accounting.
Personally, I strive to use all professionals as little as possible--but I enjoy good technicians.0 -
Well said
I like that, Mike!

good point Scott
I guess if he would have said one or the other & not both ,I would not have looked at it that way , in reflection the term technician conveys the same message . I may have read too much into it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,0 -
good point Mike
the only thing is, his reference to a professional was meant to be the fire department or gas company & please do not misunderstand I have the utmost respect for those 2 as well0
