Remember the post regarding the huge home with the way over engineered system? Boiler oversized enough to heat three more homes; hydro air with three way valves; a base mounted pump (in a rez); 24/7 maintain 180 degrees.

Follow up meeting today. Radiant retro-fit to be installed. That's victory #1. Kill the boiler 24/7 & go to heat on demand only & de-rate. That's victory #2. Strip out that wild **** base pump (that also ran 24/7), abandon the 200' long 2" copper loop and install zone pumping to the hydro air units with small energy efficient pumps. We'll do remote mini-tube for the greenhouse located about 90' away. That's a slam dunk. If that's not enough, we'll be installing a multi-zone damper system for the A/C, which has been out of balance since the home was built 12 years ago.

We're also gonna put the FA returns in the center walls and move the supplies to the exterior walls with BB registers (they're opposite now).

Imagine a 3 mill home where comfort has been a stranger. Well, comfort is a moving in fer a spell(G).
