Cleaning recessed radiator

Just purchased our first home. It was built in 1941 and has recessed radiators that need cleaning. They look like Burnham's Radiant Radiator. Can I use compressed air to blow them out? Can I use a pipe cleaner type brush and cleaning solution? Can I damage them by doing either of these things?
Thanks, Steve (HVAC novice)
