Goopy Joints

I've been checking out pics of the installs here and was wondering if you guys wipe off the excess jount compound after you take the pics. I'm not trying to be critical or anything, but the man who tought me to screw pipe was very picky about that sort of thing, so it jumps right out at me when I see a beautifully done install with pipe dope dripping from every joint.
Presentation is everything right?

Pride in workmanship
I know what you mean. I was taught that way, everything including mopping the boiler room floor before you leave.
Most guys who frequent this site agree with you 100%, I'd be willing to bet.
If you REALLY, REALLY love what you do it shows.
Check out hotrods site to see what I mean, really impressive work.
