I think I pretty much got this whole thing down...with the help of Dan's How Come book. My only question is: Precisely where do you locate the aquastat?

Aquastat location in hot-water loop on steam boiler
The aquastat should be located after the bypass line joins the feed from the boiler and before the circulator pump. The bypass line allows you to feed some cooler water into the boiling water from the boiler so that the pump doesn't pump boiling water and cavitate.0 -
I use
I use a tapping in the boiler. If the boiler maintains temp for hot water then you won't need to add one.

Oops, correction
The aquastat should be on the hot water line from the boiler BEFORE the bypass line joins the line and before the circulator pump.0
