    If I never....Felcie

If I don't see another frozen pipe this winter it will be perfectly fine with me!

Our pipe-in-hot has gotten a serious workout this week.I've been in crawl spaces, basements, attics, pits, and out buildings.Pipes are freezing in places I never dreamed they would freeze.

The temperature hit 20* and the wind died down for the first time in a week and it feels like a heat wave!

    ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!

One thing I've noticed, pex tubing holds up very well in freezing conditions.I've fixed a pile of frozed pex and not a single break.

    Frozen pipes

Really? You hate frozen pipes? Pipes frozen in places you never thought would freeze? What is the temp there now? Not to be a smart butt, but would you like to know how many frozen pipes we repair in a day here at -50? Ha. It's ALL relative! You know what I do when I step out of my door, and the air is so cold it literally takes your breath away? Do you know what it smells like at -50?....It smells like money! HA! In the last 4 weeks, we've had 9 customers who have gone off to work without making sure the garage door shuts all the waY. Do you know what a boiler and domestic water system looks like after 9 hours of -30? It looks like money! Ha! Trust me, I do know how sick and tired you get at looking at busted pipes. And I agree, we install LOTS of pex these days. Have only had 2 busted slabs with pex. God bless the plastic industry,
    happy heating,
    Rocky

    Temperature

If I lived in Alaska I would expect it to be cold.I was up there years ago during the summer. It's beautiful country, sometimes I wish I had stayed, would have liked to experienced a winter.Unfortanitaly I couldn't pan up enough gold to stake a claim.

The Cold we're getting here doesn't compare to what you get.But for Connecticut,-10 to 10* day and night for a week and a strong steady wind is more than we're used to.It seems the wind has allowed the cold to get through any little crack in a buildings exterior and freeze stuff deep inside.I guess you guys build with this type of cold in mind.

I shouldn't complain about the work, just want to get back to the regular work load.Stay warm up there.

    Whats up my friend!

I finaly got a break in the action and the weather today and took my kid out ice fishing.Great day on the ice.Three nice largemouths. There is nothing better then the expression on his face when he pulls a big fish through a black hole in the ice.

    Freeze ups

I sold thirty 3/4 copper slip couplings last week. Oh ya the moneys just pouring in. And everybodys just more than happy to pay that over time work.

I am kidding a little we got a boiler to change and have picked up some new customers, because there plumber dosn't go out at night, ( boogie man I think ).

It was thirty yesterday and its dropping down again today. Time to go wash the long johns. Should be minus fifteen to twenty five with the wind chill tonight.

Springs right around the corner :)
