Can you estimate how many gallons of water would be at the very bottom of an underground double-walled heating oil tank if it is 3.5 inches deep? Tank size is 2,000 gallons.
Thank you

2000 gal. tank
You will need to stick a tape measure to the bottom of the tank and read the tape at the top of the pipe. Then as you remove the tape measure, hook it onto the end of the pipe and subtract this reading from the first. This will give you the tank's diameter. If it is close to 48" you have around 60 gallons of water. If it is around 64" you have approx. 40 gallons.0
