Tekmar or Heat Timer?

Does anyone have any experience installing/using Tekmar reset controls for steam heat? I've installed quite a few Heat Timer's and have always been satisfied with their operation.

Has anyone had experience with both that can give me a comparison? I've been told the Tekmar is about $600.00 cheaper.

    tekmar vs. heat timer

I've used both controls and find them both to be excellent.I've used Tekmar on residential units and Heat Timer on commercial, mainly because Tekmar doesn't handle multiple boilers with their control. We install a Heattimer on a duplex commercial installation and dropped a $55K fuel bill to $24K in the first season.
True the Heattimer is more expensive, but I believe that it's worth every penny.

    Greg,

We've had a lot of success with tekmar's Steam Saver steam control. A number of oil companies here in the Boston area have been using them with positive results. But they are limited at this point to controlling a single stage (either boiler or zone valve). One feature that the caompanies have commented on is the ability to install multiple indoor air sensors for additional feedback to "fine tune" the control's operation.

George, is this the model 269 your speaking of? What are the chances Freddie over at WATERAIR would have one of these on the shelf?
